AOOTW is a personal project initiated in 2020 in collaboration with Julien Dinam, then developed in 2022 during Ateliers Médicis' Création en Cours residency, Les objets bavards.
It's a fictional story of the life of Cornelius, an aesthete whose singular view of the world takes him from a collector in the upper echelons of contemporary art to an exile on the Russian frontier.
His collection is made up of objects and materials that, in their own way, bear the scars of the world. Whether it's natural, ecological and man-made disasters, or simply the passage of time, Cornelius is fascinated by anything that bears witness to scars.
